The Tenderloin Museum is hosting our second ever Volunteer Fair on Thursday April 21st. This is a chance to hear first hand from a select group of amazing service nonprofits in the neighborhood. A 6:30pm reception will be followed by a 7pm presentation by local service organizations. Come learn about the fantastic work being done by these organization to help our community, and find out ways you can get involved. Refreshments generously provided by our sponsors Zendesk and Zoosk. We’re thrilled to be creating a space where potential volunteers can connect with these amazing neighborhood organizations.

About Larkin Street Youth Services:
The Mission of Larkin Street Youth Services is to create a continuum of services that inspires youth to move beyond the street. We will nurture potential, promote dignity and support bold steps by all.
About Glide:
A radically inclusive, just and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization.
About Shanti Project:
Shanti Project exists to enhance the health, quality of life and well-being of people with terminal, life-threatening or disabling illnesses or conditions. Through a continuum of services, including in-home and onsite patient and care navigation, emotional and practical support and preserving the human-animal bond, Shanti strives to achieve the highest medical and quality of life outcomes for San Francisco’s most vulnerable.
About Skywatchers:
Skywatchers illuminates the lives and stories of residents of the Tenderloin who are too often reduced to statistics. Fundamentally, the project is about the connectivity that is essential to the creative process, and the vital importance and humanizing impact of making visible the stories that make us who we are. We engage residents as storytellers, co-creators, performers, and audience members— working in close collaboration with ABD dancers and associated artists—in the creation of performance pieces that reflect the richness and complexity of their stories
About Code Tenderloin:
Code Tenderloin is a start-up workforce development and job-readiness program that places residents of the TL (and people in "Tenderloin situations") into entry-level jobs and internships at San Francisco's Mid-Market tech companies and other local businesses. Since September, we have placed 27 people in full-time employment (mostly service, nonprofit, and a couple tech jobs).
