SEAACC is collaborating with community partners to host the 4th Multicultural Spring Festival on May 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Tenderloin Recreation Center. This is a FREE public event. Cultural performances will include representation from the Cambodian, Burmese, Laotian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Filipino, Hmong, Mongolian, Yemen, and Latino communities in the Tenderloin neighborhood.

The San Francisco Bay Area’s diverse communities celebrate many occasions and holidays in the first few months of the year, including the New Year which occurs in different months according to different cultures’ calendars, and the celebration of the arrival of Spring. This year, SEAACC and its community partners collaborated to put on this 2025 Spring Festival to share and highlight the beauty of different New Year traditions and Spring celebrations of various cultural and ethnic groups that are a part of the Tenderloin community.

The “Refugee Stories” portion of this festival is presented as part of the Tenderloin Museum’s ongoing Sounds of the Tenderloin series, which is supported by a grant from the Specified General Fund for the Museum Grant Program under the California Cultural and Historical Endowment.
