ABC7 hosts a special community screening of Tara Campbell’s ABC7 Originals documentary, A Mother’s Hope, followed by a panel conversation with the women she interviewed.
Campbell spends a year with three mothers from three cities - San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento - fighting to save their children's lives. Their children are trapped in a cycle of homelessness, addiction, and mental illness. Every day, these mothers confront an impossible system, relentless setbacks, and their deepest fears, refusing to give up hope. We take a raw, unflinching look at a crisis tearing families apart and the extraordinary strength of the people trying to hold them together.
Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to ask questions and engage with A Mother's Hope special guests!
ABC7 and Tenderloin Museum previously hosted the community screening and panel Q&A of Injecting Hope, Campbell's powerful 2023 documentary about an innovative program tackling the fentanyl and drug overdose crisis. Injecting Hope went on to win the National Edward R. Murrow Award for News Documentary in 2024. The Murrow Awards recognize outstanding work in broadcast and digital journalism, especially work that reflects the importance and impact of journalism as a service to the community.
